Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of BriskSplits, a service of BriskNest US LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("we", "us"). By using brisksplits.com or the BriskSplits app you agree to them.

The service

BriskSplits helps people track shared expenses and calculate who owes whom. It is provided in early access and features may change.

Not a payment service

BriskSplits does not hold, transfer or process money and is not a bank or money transmitter. Settle-up buttons open third-party apps such as Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or Zelle; any payment is between you and that provider under their terms. Marking a debt as paid only updates the record in BriskSplits.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country). Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. Provide accurate information.

Your content

You own the data you enter. You give us permission to store and display it to you and the members of your groups so the service can work. Don't add other people's personal information unless you have a reason to share it with the group.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no illegal activity, fraud, harassment, attempts to break security, scraping, or overloading our systems.

Accuracy

Balances are calculations based on what users enter. Currency conversions use reference rates that may differ from what banks or payment apps charge. Check amounts before you pay.

Pricing

The service is currently free. Any prices shown on the website are proposals. If we introduce paid plans, we will show the price before you buy, and free features you rely on will be clearly described.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, BriskNest US LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for amounts paid or owed between users. Our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the past 12 months or $50.

Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date above. Continued use means you accept the new terms.
